Saturday Breakfast Club
This group is designed for children and young adults ages 12years and older. The group will focus on planning and organizing, social skills, teamwork, activities of daily living, and simple meal preparation.
Super flex Social League
Children will become “Super Heroes” learning to use their ‘brain powers’ to be flexible thinkers to overcome ‘rock brain’ to be good friends to all. This group will focus on developing; social thinking, perspective taking and flexibility, interacting with peers, decision making, and identifying, managing and communicating emotions. This group is designed for children 10 to 13 years of age.*Lessons based on “Superflex!” by Michelle Garcia Winner and Stephanie Madrigal.
Social Detective
Children will become "Social Detectives" learning to identify expected and unexpected behaviors as well as emotions using their eyes, ears, and social smarts. This group will focus on interacting with peers (sharing, turn taking, teamwork), identifying, managing, and communicating emotions, decision making, and following directions. This group is designed for children 6-9 years of age. *Lessons based on “You are a Social Detective!” by Michelle Garcia Winner and Pamela Crooke.
"GET IN THE ZONE"
(Self-Regulation Group): The group focus on increasing emotional and regulatory awareness, Teach and practice strategies to increase Self-Regulation, Increase Social Skills and Self Regulation in a group setting.
Pretzel Buddies
This yoga groups is designed for children ages 6-12 years of age. This group uses yoga postures and breathing excercises to focus on building; motor planning, body awareness, core strength, and self-regulation skills.
Learning Loops the Write Way!
Children will work on the skills that they will need to start learning cursive handwriting before they go back to school. This group is intended for 3rd & 4th grade students (8-10 years old). The group curriculum is based on the well-known Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) program. The Screener of Handwriting Proficiency assessment will be administered and materials provided. Learning Loops the WRITE Way is run by an occupational therapist who is a certified hand writting specialist.
WRITE On!
Children will work on the skills that they will need for handwriting before they go back to school. This group is intended for 1st-3rd grade students (6-8 years old).The group curriculum is based on the well-known Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) program. The Print Tool assessment will be administered and materials provided. WRITE On!, is run by an occupational therapist who is a certified handwriting specialist.
Getting It WRITE!
Children will work on the skills that they will need to start learning handwriting before they go back to school. This group is intended for Pre-K and Kindergarten children ( ages 4-6). The group curriculum is based on the well-known Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) program. The Screener of Handwriting Proficiency or Print Tool assessment will be administered and materials provided. Getting It Write! is run by an occupational therapist who is a certified handwriting specialist.
Rainbow Food School
Children 4-6 years of age will learn how food can be fun by exploring foods using their senses 1 step at a time. Children will also learn how to use utensils independently, how to expand foods in their diet and how to engage in sensory motor activities (gross and oral motor). This group is run by a Speech-Language Pathologist and/or Occupational Therapist.
Preschool Playclub
This group is run by an Occupational Therapist and/or Speech-Language Pathologist and is designed for children 3 to 5 years of age. The group will focus on expanding a child's ability to join in to play with others, share and take turns, get along with peers, problem solve, negotiate, compromise, follow directions, and participate in a variety of stationary and movement activities with a group.
